This is a newbie type question. If one has a platinum or gold account and does not renew it, what happens? Do they go back to the restricted non member game yet keep their points or are they terminated?

I believe you revert to non-paying status and retain your points but lose the "extras" like getting to do more than one WP a week. (That's the part that drove me into paying for gold.)

A member posted a message on the Salty Dog that her membership had expired. When I checked her account she still had her points.

you do indeed retain your points and remain at the level you attained as a paying member. You still receive the question of the day.

some of the limits as a regular member are:

- you are limited to 1 wordpuzzle per week.
- you are limited to 2 tries in the wordrounds and wordmatches per hour.
- you are limited in the number of quizzes you may launch per week.
- you cannot use your wager tokens but any you accumulated are retained and you are encouraged to upgrade your account in order to use them.
- you are subjected to advertising banners prominently placed on every screen.

Man, that would kill me. I am so addicted to WordPuzzles. They are why I went Gold originally. Imagine only being able to do 1 each week

Hmmm ... that makes me wonder. What criteria would you look for if you could only do one WP a week?
