Where is Garrybl's profile?

Anybody have contact info for him? Remember what happened with Spacecat?

No way would he just up'n leave. Not without posting a big honking complaint first.

Just kidding, Barry! Gotta be a glitch.

Also Vettage seems to be missing. Wonder what happened to him?

Also, neither Garrybl nor Vettage is listed in the directory now.

Sploofwidow, Mrs. Vettage, still has a profile.

Both Vettage and Garrybl are (were?) very active Sploofusers and it seems unlikely that they just quit. But strange things sometimes happen here.

I think we can safely blame Hillary, Bill, Obama and all of the other Liberals for this travesty. If Bush and the Conservatives were running the.......nevermind.

Barry's name is also missing from the Quiz Author Leaderboard.

Sploofalina writes: " Maurlin, we've sent a message to Justin. Like many others, we think it may be the same thing that happened to Spacecat and we're waiting to hear back. Barry, or one of us, will let you know as soon as there's a resolution."

He is still on my quiz takers list. But not since 10:30 AM EST Feb. 11.

If I end up missing I hope you all don't chalk it up to another one of my mood swings.

I had a PM off spacecat on the 2nd February so they must still be around here somewhere.
Hope this helps in someway.

Barry responded to the Sploofus Google Board:

thanks for your cocern.
No idea what happened; will try to get in myself shortly; just connected up
in Hong Kong airport (1),
but meanwhile please drop a note on my behalf.
Thanks again

actually it was an e-mail not a post to the board. I get e-mails for both.

Wouldx be nice if we had an e0-mail address to contact Justin or anyone else if this happens. I have been asking about this for what seems forever. When you cannot login, you cannot post, send a support ticket or contact the site in any way that I can figure out except by creating a newaccount if you happen to have another address. This happened to me twice now and that is what I did although this practice frowned upon. PLEASE some one with some authority address this issue as not all of us have an email address of another person here thart we can contact and some like myself might be missed but more in a "good ridance" way-Linda

It's a connection problem. He says his log-in is shown as an error. I've sent in a support ticket.

I've contacted Justin at in the past when the support system was either horribly backlogged or inoperative. I think that email address should still work and would be the first thing I'd try if my ID "disappeared" or I couldn't logon normally.

This is sort of like being able to see who comes to your own funeral and what they are saying about you. Hope this doesn't sound too sappy but I think Barry will be glad to know that he's got a lot of friends here who would really miss him and can't wait for his profile to be restored. While I don't know him all that well he has impressed me with his ability to do really well in every phase of Sploofus - WR, WM, WP, TQOD and he does write some of the most interesting and challenging quizzes out there. Hope this is fixed and you're back "home" soon Barry.

It appears the Garrybl's account was not a suicide, but that it was murdered by the server. Hopefully his account will be fully restored, without any losses. The only thing I would wish to be changed for you, Barry, is that your Sploofactor gets fixed in the process. Patiently awaiting the resurrection.

Barry will need all of the WordRounds that he missed. I suspect the system has a way of restoring his sploofactor and his other rankings ... maybe back to the moment he was clobbered but how can he ever catch up on the WordRounds without taking them. His combined total is always the best and now, he will be way down for missing some. That'll teach him to go to a geisha parlor and try to do sploofus at the same time!

His profile was abducted by Plutonites. They are holding it for ransom. They want their status as a planet restored.

I'm still wondering about vettage, any word on his account?

Garrybl  (Level: 291.9 - Posts: 6773)

(Thanks for all the kind words and it was a good job I was away and couldn't access my computer more than once every 2/3 hours or I'd have been even more upset.

When you think of all the weird things that hve gone on with my account (switching lives with Carreau, the WP flukes from 15 months ago, I'm beginning to believe I must be doing something odd...

Incdentally I'm now in Taipei. More news as and when.

Thank you justin for deleting me for a couple of days.

It was really appreciated. I'm in Taiawin and working on a bulletin and I'm overworked. But I've been taking time off to make sure I do all the WR WM and WP to the detriment of my marriage... my wife who is helping me thinks I should be working harder.

Now I've totally missed a couple of WPs I'm out of contention for the month. The competitive edge is dulled and I'll be able to do a better job.

Barry...I had the same experience when I was on a cruise this year that included the end of January and a few days in February. I had even purchased a laptop so I could keep doing WPs and write quizzes...and then I found out about the 79 cents per minute charge to get wi fi connection. I'm now out of the running too.

Barry, we are all very glad to have you back--I've missed checking our WordPuzzle scores against each other. Continue to enjoy your Asian journey!

Diggs, Deggit, Oldcougar, Slicko and Loosewheel took a vote to let you back. It was 3 to 2 that you stay in Asia and have brown outs twice a month. They did wish you happy birthday by a vote of 3 to 2.

Yes it was really heartwarming to get such 'uincontested' good wishes. Hope it will last through the end of the heartless WP.
As a New yorker by inclination I'm not used to such nice behavior; will have to kick a cat to get out of such an altruistic mood.
