I think to many people here WPs are the best Sploofus feature, and in some cases, like me, really the only thing i play anymore. Two a day is miserly for something that should be virtually limitless like quizzes..

I think we should let members contribute, if editors can't keep up, and do 5 or 10 or whatever a day, with the leaderboards on each puzzle and the aggregate. No need to time them individually, just put 5 or whatever up at noon and close them 24 hours later.

I know -- 2.0..

Good idea Smaug. I also like the WP best and was hoping platinum would allow me to do more than 2 a day. Seems like a sub-category or a new category for member-written WPs would be a good way to separate them from the editor-written WPs.

I thought if you were Platinum it was unlimited Word Puzzles. Check the adverisement.

You're platinum. Do you do unlimited WP? If so, where do you find them? I agree, that was my understanding also. But I haven't seen them yet or haven't figured out how to access them.

There are only two/day. Platinum can do unlimited WordRounds and WordMatches, but there are only 2 WordPuzzles each day.

And I would love there to be more of them! WordPuzzles are the reason that I originally anted up for Gold. The only problem with more of them - if they had a time limit, I would probably miss one of them with some frequency, and that would make me crazy. Can't you see, being in some business meeting, and walking out, saying you just had to do your WordPuzzle NOW, cause it was about to expire?

non-paying members are limited to only one word puzzle per week.

gold and platinum members can play both puzzles daily and, in that sense, are unlimited.

Once again you players are coming up with ideas that are already being discussed at headquarters!

And Smaug's final statement of his original post is the only real response we can make...wait for 2.0! None of anyone's good ideas are going to be implemented here in 1.whatever-this-version-is.

I wonder how many other people than I might sign up for platinum if there WERE unlimited WPs?

Maybe we'll never know?

the reason I went gold was to get more than one WP a week, I would go platinum if it meant more WPs...I don't do very good at 'em, but I can't get enough!

Oh, PLEASE do not make more WPs and then make them Platinum-only. I went gold to get to do the two-a-day, but I cannot afford platinum no matter how many privileges get added to that level. The price differential between gold and platinum is just too wide IMHO.

Let's see if this gets through:

A couple of days ago a conversation took place on the Word
Rounds message board. One Sploofus-ite wrote that as an
editor he had access to 2.0, assumedly to test it out. At the
time I thought it kind of odd at the that someone would
announce they were an editor, but I don't know why anyone
would be playing mind games either.

So, maybe it's not a myth.

Okay, what is the WP situation with 2.0 then? Because, in all honesty, that is my tie here, I'm bored of quizzes and word rounds. Fooling around on this board is fun but as much as I love you all I can do that all over the interweb thang for free.

Foogs - The Editors have not been given the green light to come out of the closet, even though some would like to. So, whomever you were chatting with was not an editor. However, we have been told that Justin did use a few non-editors to test some features on 2.0, so you may have gotten the straight story.

My guess is someone was woofin' when the said they were an editor. It is not without precedent.

These are not nearly as clever, or as much fun, but help pass the time if you're jonesing for hangman type games:

many languages to choose from, great practice for those who are multi-lingual
