I can't resist sharing this with you all.

There was a recent wp on presidents. One of the ones in my quiz was Tyler. He was born in 1790 and had 15 children by his two wives.

How long ago do you think it was that his last grandchild died...remember Tyler was born 218 years ago. This was aman who almost saw the birth of america as a separate country so his grandchild would have known people who would have known America before Independence.

When you've decided check out

Only your mind would think of that, Garrybl. Perhaps that is why I have trouble getting the correct answers on some of your quizzes. Your mind is fascinating though-just not like mine-Linda

Barry, that is amazing. He's still alive though, right? Looking at the dates, he was born nearly 70 years after Tyler died, so I don't think he would have had firsthand contact with anyone from the American revolution, but his other grandparents were secessionists, so I am betting he had a lot of contact with some still pretty freshly disgruntled confederates!

I've heard of two minutes for Ruffin, but two centuries? Wow!

I guess I know what he's doing now ... working on producing what will be John Tyler's longest-surviving great-grandchild.

Good stuff Barry!

I like history trivia like that.
