Can we have these themes approved by a non-virgin who has actually has been outside?

My nerdy brother used to play D&D constantly in elementary and junior high.

I don't see Smaug on the leaderboard, so I'm guessing you bailed.
Can't blame you. As soon as I saw the first puzzle I just wanted
to be done. 69 moves in under 10 minutes. I probably could have
done it faster, but I wasted time actually thinking about a couple
of the puzzles.

I had no idea what this wp is about and after muddling through it still have no idea what it means

I haven't taken it yet, but I assume that D&D refers to the fantasy role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons. As a kid and youg teen, my son played it lots. Then he got a life. One of the creators of D&D, Gary Gygax, died early in March at age 69.

I knew that this one wasn't going to be to everyone's taste, but since the creator of D&D passed away last week I felt like doing something more personal than just a list of playing terms and equipment.

We have 60 puzzles to do a month, so we need to keep them fresh as possible, trying out new things from time to time.

I know NOTHING about D & D, but I enjoyed the puzzle. It was an appropriate tribute. Thanks.

Oh, good grief. I bet Slicko played D & D for 10 years. I'm so doomed.

I never played D&D but I had wanted to try it! And I did okay on the WP; there wasn't anything too obscure in my puzzles anyway.

I thought it was a nice tribute to a man who created something pretty unique for its time.

How about a WP on the guy who created the Pet Rock!

Never played the game in my life Donna so I think we're both doomed.

Wasn't bad. No little *ping* of recognition, but all the words I saw were normal.

Beats all hell outta Harry Potter Villains, my gold standard of incomprehensibility.

(I wasn't here for Welsh Castles)

I finally took it. Very cute! It reminded me of a concern by one of my neighbors whose son played D&D with mine. The kids must have been 10 or 11 and had been playing with a group at her house. She called me concerned because somehow the point of a lead pencil had somehow been imbeded in her son's head and she wanted to know if that was actually part of the game.

A couple of the ones I had were cute, but for at least one I think I would have rather had the lead imbedded in my head.

I guess I didn't miss anything.

I never played D&D but found this to be a fun puzzle - at least with what I got on "most" - it could have been applied to just about any favourite past time -- like that time we went smaug hunting down by the creek -- oh - oops - sorry -- wrong story

I agree with Kaelin -- a very fair puzzle for people who have never played the game. I actually wasted several moves thinking one puzzle was harder than it was. Fun, and I had been dreading it, which is much better than the other way around.
