It's the first day, and so far we've enlisted Michelle, Susan and yours truly.

Still, it's not too early to begin our monthly format. I suggest that we offer a selection of a work of fiction first. If we decide on a recent title for this month, perhaps we could select a less modern book for May. For example, maybe May's book could be by Flannery O'Connor (okay -- she's one of my favorites) and include some posts of background info about the author. I'd love to see this group be full of fun discussions, but also have a serious study side.

Any suggestions or ideas?

I love O'Conner, too, so that's good by me.

If you want a suggestion for a more modern novel, can I please recommend "She's Come Undone" or "I Know This Much is True" by Wally Lamb. I couldn't put either of them down once I began them, and have bought close to 10 copies "She's Come Undone" just to give out to friends.

Count me in!

I'm a Lamb lover, too, Erin.
