I posted this question a couple days ago and now can't remember what thread it was under and my computer has been running so slowly the last two days, I haven't been able to find an answer. So if someone has answered this, forgive me for the reasking and would you please reanswer it

When 2.0 goes public for all of us, will those of us with older computers, browsers, software still be able to access it. Right now I use two different browsers to access different parts of Sploofus. I can only take timed stuff on IE and can only submit quizzes on Netscape. And I wouldn't have Netscape, except that I couldn't access yahoo on IE and hubby had to load something else on for me and we can't upgrade IE anymore.

I know that Justin has been testing 2.0 with a lots of different browsers, and that one reason for the its release taking so long is the fact that he's making sure all features are compatible with a wide variety of browsers and browser versions.

Dwayla, how old are we talking here? The oldest I've used is an 8 year old 733 with 512 mb ram, Win 98 SE, IE 6. Everything seems to work the same, although a bit slower. Missgeorge said in the Sploofus Hotwire thread that 2.0 works with her WebTV.

But if you are campaigning for a new system, like I am, tell your hubby I think you really need to get a new computer!

I had that short stint on the link to look around, and I run windows 98. There was absolutely no difference in speed or anything here. Worked perfectly.
I notice that thread with the link disappeared. Teasers.

I'm probably talking 7-8 years old. I'm on a Mac laptop and they aren't upgrading IE anymore for the Mac and the Netscape is 6.2 (I think). Yes hubby does all this and he has a new one, but who knows how long it's going to be before it's set up and we have internet access to it. I'm excited, cause then he said we'd get DSL, but I may be waiting another 6 months to a year for it I can only push so much and now my daughter is "pushing". With only one working computer, we have to share time on it.

I was excited years ago when we got java and were able to open websites that had that on them, so I've be thru these so called upgrades that leave older software/versions behind.

Thanks for everyone's comments!
