B. (you win the right to be sworn in in Jan. 2009, the sitting Pres. is still Pres. until then.)

The US Constitution says this:

"""Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."""

So he is not POTUS until he is sworn in.

No matter when he gets sworn in we still get four more years of the Bush system.

I sincerely fear that with 4 years of McCain, we'll be wishing we had back the Bush system. But then, I fear that if any of the ones running win. I have no one to vote for.

B... but it's interesting to note that all of the entries say "HE shall do such and such."

I reckon Hillary is getting kicked to the curb?

Jank

I was born and grew up in the US but I am a British Citizen living in Britain now. For once there are three intelligent, articulate people in the running for the presidency and you are complaining! If I was to take up my US citizenship and vote I would be delighted at the choice. Having said that I wouldn't vote Republican and although Mrs. Clinton is not my cup of tea she would undoubtedly do a good job. However there is no question in my mind that Mr. Obama would make a great president and would be an excellent ambassador for the USA globally. And boy do you need that right now. I want to be able to respect the most powerful person in the world and the leader of the country of my birth, something I haven't been able to do for awhile. Whether Clinton or Obama win the Democratic nomination you are on the brink of a historical moment and you're complaining!!!

The answer is B. If McCain wins the election he would be considered president-elect until the inauguration. Bush will be president until inauguration day.

This is for Rnmorg and all the curious Sploofus players that want to know about one of my newest game interests, not a sporting interest, of course.

Besides the White cue ball, there re 22 colored balls in the game of Snooker. They are 2 1/16 in diameter and are not numbered, just colored. Their colors and point values are as follows. EDITORS NOTE, this for reference ONLY !!!

15 Red Balls 1 point
1 Yellow ball 2 points
1 Green ball 3 points
1 Brown ball 4 points
1 Blue ball 5 points
1 Pink ball 6 points
1 Black ball 7 points

I know all your interests are really peaked now and you want more info. Go to: AZBilliards.com. This sight has changed my
outlook on the game of Snooker. I have to hire a private detective to find a pool hall or Family Billiards center to play.

Smaug, The reason I asked everyone to tell me when the president elect would become president was to prove a point to an editor who got technical with me. The presidential stuff had nothing to do with question involved. Sorry about the red balls talk, though. I was compared to the average everyday British schoolboy. Nothing against the British, I loved the Beatles and Tony Blair.
