TRENDY FOOD COMBOS

Not only did this WP kill my appetite, it also made little sense. One of the worst.

It wasn't too bad. Especially if you consider the April Fool's WP.

Think of them as great diet ideas...you're guaranteed to lose weight!

If a food quiz had THESE dishes, the editor would reject it!

I'm so glad I'm not trendy!

Just give me fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy, green beans and a biscuit, thank you very much.

I disliked it too. I believed originally I had troubles as I am not a west-coaster. These menu items were news to me. Some of the food items did indeed sound dreadful.

I probably wouldn't eat any of the menu choices, but I thought the WP was fairly entertaining.

I have eaten live grasshoppers (Army), Rattlesnake meat in OK. Muskrat, Pork brains in scrambled eggs and my first wife's everyday fare and it was all great compared to what the "trendy" crap sounded like. I'm not sure but some of that bilge was possibly invented by the editor.

Disgusting sounding maybe, but all real I assure you! And actually googleable all on one website:

Perhaps not all that trendy, since the article was from 1994, but even so, it hardly seems fair that you insult the WP just because you don't like the food combinations!

You probably would get a bigger insult if I ever ate any of that crap and since when is anything from the '90's considered "trendy" No apology

I enjoyed the word puzzle - even though I didn't want to try any of the dishes. There was one spelling error where glaze was spelled glace that threw me for a little bit. I'm sure people pay a fortune just to eat those items. Sherry

Didn't mind the WP, don't think I'd like the menu much, but I am willing to try it

Sorry Charcoal, but 'glace' is the correct culinary word, but should have had an accent:

gla·cé (glä-sā')
adj.
1. Having a smooth, glazed or glossy surface, such as certain silks or leathers.
2. Coated with a sugar glaze; candied.
