EXTRA NAMES OR TITLES ADDED TO SIGN-IN NAME???

I've noticed that a lot of players have, on their sploofus space, a second name such as globe 25.2, trivium 21.3, alliance 11.1, etc. Is this a function of how long you've been a member? And if so, why don't all long-time members have a second name? If it's NOT a function of longevity, what does it mean?

They're remnants of a defunct groups scheme, from what I've been told. Before my time.

But I just found member "8-9 weeks old" (newer than me) who has a second name or title? So maybe that isn't the answer!

Sorry, folks! I see my last answer registered twice and my original question three times! I'm not sure what the problem is, but it certainly wasn't intentional!

This has to do with members choosing what's called a "faction" to belong to. There are three different factions. You can read about the system here: http://www.sploofus.com/login_faction.sp

It's not that big of a deal, but I decided to go ahead and declare a faction. I was wavering between Alliance and Globe but finally chose Globe.

I chose also but nothing is different but the label.

I, of course, MEANT thanks a BUNCH! Do the numbers after relate to climbing up a scale like answering TQOFD?

The number tell you what level the player is on with TQOTD.
I notice that in Beta 2.0 the faction label is no longer displayed.

Right. You can still join a faction, but it doesn't do anything.

Maybe one of the silverbacks will share tales of the old days.

Jank0614, your faction and level DO show up on your sploofus space!
