Are they any good?

I am watching the Tudors which IS good, although rather salacious. They have, however, taken great liberties with accuracy in order to speed the plots along.

I saw both of Kate's Elizabeths. The first one was better in my opinion. But, I love anything on the Tudors or Stuarts. Kate did a beautiful job in both movies. I missed the cable Tudor series.

I've seen both Cate's Elizabeth movies. She is wonderful in both, although I enjoyed the first one a tad more. Looking forward to the third and final film. I haven't seen The Tudors. The critics (I don't usually put too much store in their opinions) pan it. I will most likely rent it and see for myself.

I like "The Tudors." Much historical 'license' is taken, but as someone who is fairly knowledgeable about the dynasty, I can understand why it is needed to advance the story and it really doesn't bother me that much. I watch it for the entertainment value, but to make it even MORE enjoyable, I watch it with my daughter who is NOT familiar with the history and it is fun to watch her try to guess what's going to happen, as though it were fiction. She was convinced up to the end that Anne was going to make it out somehow and not be executed. Now, she's on tenterhooks trying to guess what's going to happen to Jane.

I liked "The Tudor's" as well as "The Other Bolyen Girl", it was fun picking out what was real and made up...the one thing I don't like is can't anyone find an actor who is tall, large in later life, and most of all, had red hair to play Henry? It seems to take something away from his character knowing how he looked in life.

BYW, Cate Blanchett was excellent in both Elizabeth movies, I'm looking forward to a third movie, if there will be one...the way "Elizabeth, The Golden Years" ended, I feel there is going to be a movie showing the years at the end of her life. Anyone else who's seen both movies feel that way?
