I just got my first Where THAI. I'm very excited. I had almost given up trying to do them because they seemed so impossible.

Anyway, it bugs me when the wiki link under the correct guess does not take you to the photo that was used. The copy of the photo that I found is at

I find it especially frustrating when only a small portion of the original image was used in the puzzle. I always want to see what the entire original image looked like. Or when a "Who" puzzle has a character's name, I want to know if the the image was of the character or of someone portraying the character--for example, I never saw the puzzle for Laura Ingalls Wilder. Was the image of Laura herself or of Melissa Gilbert in character as LIW? The wiki link will not usually tell me that. I want to see the "revealed" image.

Ditto!!! Couldn't have said it better.

Diane, the image was of Laura herself, and not Melissa Gilbert. I had no idea what she looked like before seeing the picture.

Well as it is right now, we sometimes take images from sources other than wikipedia. Those sources often aren't an appropriate site to find out information about the person/place. Maybe an added link to the original photo might be a nice feature to add. I can understand the interest in this.

Wouldn't it be nice if pictures were collected by players who don't have the information available for the rest of the world to see.
I been hearing from all these scholars on Sploofus for over a year and they have to get information regarding pictures on Wikipedia ???? Isn't anything sacred anymore ??? And I'm the idiot who complains about Snooker. Chickie, the more you say it, the more right you are.

Papermanbill, I am not at all sure what you are saying here, but the reason we stick to wikipedia is that we are relatively sure the pictures they use are not copyrighted. We don't want to get into trouble using copyrighted photos.

I agree. It would be nice to see the actual picture. Often I go to work, or bed, when just a few tiles are removed and then check later to see Who/Where it was - I am left just as clueless after checking a link to Wiki with no picture or not the same picture of a person/place I've never heard of! Links to both is a great idea!
