Definitely turned out what I expected it to be- a "vintage" Slicko exercise.

An erudite knowledge of the 'arts" helps as well as being savvy to the "plot".

Another challenging puzzle by the sploofplats.

I give it a thumbs up!

Creative Gary.....I have to admit I just pushed random letters hoping I could solve it. Walked away with 3300 points!! Just wanted to see what you were up to, fun thanks!

I noticed the Author took the quiz and was #100
with # of moves in the 90's and no points lost....
So....did you learn anything by taking your own
quiz Slicko, as recommended by the editors????

Being an opera purist I knew the composers
and most of the operas - but was SHOCKED that you
put them in the context of the movies/pop culture
(which I know very little about....obviously)

Bravo! That was an excellent puzzle Slicko. I know nothing about opera, but as far as WP's go, that ranks right up there with the best of them!
Well done!

Clever puzzle. Don't know much about opera and it shows, but I had fun doing the puzzle anyway. Loved the humor.

Thanks all for being so kind - Rowlanda after I took my own puzzle I realized it was much tougher than I planned - especially because I couldn't even remember one of the ones I submitted - once I figured it out I said to myself - that really was a dumb puzzle.
I also learned that while most of the movies were very well known, a couple were rather obscure and if someone got those, perhaps some better clues would have helped. Still it was a fun experience but I'm glad it's over. Many hats off to the editors who have to do these day after day. And hats off to the top 10 who conquered this crazy thing.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was a great feeling when the aha! moment came for each puzzle. Nice job!

I enjoyed the puzzle. I knew nothing about opera I caught on it was a mix of both

opera and movie after a while.

Well, I already congratulated Gary, but now that the puzzle is over, I'll just say I really enjoyed it for the composers and operas, since I was familiar with them. I'm terrible with movies, but at least I had heard of all except one. And I had heard of all my actors or actresses. So, it was a neat combination.

despite proving myself unable to spell: walkure/walkyre/valkyre/valkure
I thought this was the best platinum WP yet.
Very clever and professional.
More like this please.

I liked that it was mixed with pop culture, that was the only part of the puzzle I could get!!

Sorry Slicko....
I would never say or impy that the W/P
was dumb in any way. On the contrary
it's me that's dumb for not knowing
the movies and stars

Really enjoyed it. Thanks Gary. Knew all the operas, had heard of 3 of the films and actors - but movies are not my forte. Didn't expect to be running out of time - but had to throw letters at the last one!
