Thanks, it's definitely my fastest ever. But, you should see the leaderboard for some of the times there:

Even now, Troypassion has an 18.8 time listed there. That's really fast. Things seem to be speeding up a bit on the sploofus servers...

Accursed dial-up! I can barely make the top ten even if I get 100%. Congratulations, in any case.

When do you speedy word rounders sleep? So the rest of us slowpokes can get a chance at the top ten! Ha, ha!!!!

Back when wordrounds were first introduced - the timing seemed different, I think the clock started when screen had FINISHED loading rather than STARTED loading. This lead to some now unbeatable times - I am pretty sure that no-one ever beat my time in game 971 of 9.6 seconds.

On the new system I am not sure if I have seen a seventeen second time - this is the next target. Anything under 20secs is pretty damn good, sub nineteen is Olympic standard.

Good morning:
I believe you're right about the timing Matt. I definitely noticed a difference starting about 2 months ago. Several of us were writing to each other and saying "is it me or is the timing much slower?" Had us pretty nervous for a while. I believe Ed Hodgson had a 6 something round in the "good old days" and I had an 8 second one which I think Tracy remembers, since it was just before the timing changed. 17 would be a major goal with this new system, but it sure is fun working on it isn't it?

I got one or two rounds in the 11-12 second range before the change and thought I was doing good till I saw sub 10 second rounds.
I sure wish the old timing system was back in place. I really don't see anyone different at the top every round than I did before the change. Whoever was exploiting the system must not have been gaining many points by doing so.
