It's safe to go in the water! Don't let the Canadian label scare you. It's a fun WP, even if you're not from there.

I grew up in NYS across the lake from Canada, but was still wary clicking the button to take the WP. It was quite painless and lots of fun! WHEW!!!

Old Cougar gets a thumbs up from me!
A lot of good puzzles, and especially helpful clues to match.
A York White Rose to her for a nice job. [okay- eat a peppermint pattie too]

Good puzzle, Randy! I guess I'm going to have to start watching TV, tho, because there are just too many puzzles I fail at since I don't know anything about the shows or actors!

Thanks for a really enjoyable puzzle, Randy! It had my brain doing a few somersaults, which was excellent exercise, not to mention fun fun fun. And I learned a few things, too!

What they said! Fun puzzle and I learned stuff - and I've got five good trivia questions for Tuesday!

You rock, Randy! But I already knew that.

Thanks to all for the lovely compliments

Phrase 3: a public outcry occurred when Raymond Massey was chosen to play Abe Lincoln
Clue 3: He’s the President?

While researching Raymond Massey, I came upon this interesting tidbit. Massey actually played Abe Lincoln in 2 different stage productions & in 3 separate movies. I understand why Americans were upset but Lincoln's son, Robert Todd Lincoln, thought he sounded almost like his father. More help, Donna

Thanks again

Enjoyed the quiz, but as Kim Catrell was born in WIGAN, ENGLAND, then went to Canada, returned to ENGLAND from age 11 to 16, before going back to Canada, I think you picked a Not So Canadian, Canadian. Bill

According to everything I can find, Kim Cattrall is Canadian. Her family emigrated to Canada when she was less than a year old, according to Wikipedia. She may hold dual citizenship in Canada and the U.K., but that wouldn't make her any less of a Canadian. From what I've seen, she considers herself to be Canadian.

Sorry Bill, I knew she wasn't born in Canada but is a Canadian citizen. I chose her because I wanted some contemporary figures as well as the classic ones. Plus, I'm from Vancouver Island. I'll give you Kim back but you have to take Pamela, as well

No thanks. I was only pointing out she lived in England from age 11 to 15, as well as being born there. No fear, to the other option.
