Congratulations to Suzer22 for being selected and "praised to the lofty status of" featured player.

She has a boa constrictor, so say nice things about her.

Does it eat candy? [peppermint patties are on sale].

Hope you enjoy your special recognition.

Whee! What an honor! Thanks for the added honor here in Salty Dog!

I had often wondered if the Featured Group was one the Featured Player belonged to, and I can tell you that's a big NO! lol

The boa constrictor was my brother's for about 18 years until his wife was about to have their 2nd child and decided she could no longer have a snake in the house! He gave her to me (her name is Alice, after Alice Cooper, who also lives in the Phoenix Arizona area), and she's now about 29 years old. The vet told me 20 is average, but she's still healthy and strong! Lucky my vet office has a resident exotic pets specialist! Oh, and I feed her live rats (the snake, not the vet!); one 'jumbo' about every 6-8 weeks, that I buy in the 'feeder' section of the local pet store.

I added a photo of her (with two of my son's friends). She's actually over 6 feet long!

Really this Featured Player thing is such a treat; what a great Monday it's going to be now! AND today is the last full day of school - tomorrow and Wednesday are half days for finals and then Graduation on Thursday...and then SUMMER VACATION!!! YIPPEEEEEE!!!!

Thanks Sploofus, and all my Sploofriends!

Happy vacation and congrats! You have a lot to celebrate all at the same time!!
Here in NY, schools continue till the very end of June, so it sure doesn't feel like summer yet.

And I once had a snake as a pet in my classroom. Somehow he managed to get out of the tank one night. I debated - do I tell the administration and make everyone crazy, or do I just shut up and search the building. I decided on the latter course of action - had about a dozen students poking around everywhere looking for the snake. Mid-afternoon - an announcement came over the loud speaker for me to get down to the home economics room stat! Snake had curled up two floors below behind the stoves for warmth. Never had a snake again in school.

Happy Suzer Day!
My date nut bread friend.
Had an 8 ft. albino python (in addition to many more-my son the herpertologist); fed him a rabbit right before going to Disney World once; left the other animals under my father-in-law's care. WELL! The python got out (I won't go into details how-don't wanna hurt the bunny peeps) and my FIL went to the house to feed the dogs,
and UH OH! RAN-wouldn't go back. Luckily, son's friend came with two rolls of duct tape and got the snake back in his cage-AFTER he destroyed my dresser, lamps, etc., ended up in the shower. Funny now, but wasn't then.

It's your day Suzer! Have a GREAT one.

Happy Suzer Day!!! Put on your party shoes! When drama teachers do it, they do it on stage, and expect applause!
