I hope, and this is only for Sir Alec Ferguson, that CHELSEA win. A SAINTS supporter, who had £5 on SOUTHAMPTON, at 6/1, when they beat Man. U. in the cup final 31 years ago. Come on CHELSEA, most of England HATE Man. U. more than they do Chelsea.

United for me: we can't have these southern upstart fancy-dans from Chelski winning, that would be intolerable!

Personally I don't care - but my husband supports MU in a typically English style (never ben to a match!) but my grandson who is seven plays for Man U's under 8's who scouted him a year ago. He says when he is rich (like Rooney) he will buy Granny a Ferrarri. Mind you cost of petrol here in UK and I would never be able to afford to go anywhere! Grandson and his mum and dad already getting excited about tonights match.

Is this the same subject that Sblv started a thread about at 2:07am:

"Champions League final

Manchester United vs Chelsea ... comments please"

If so - no one commented there. I would comment but....I'm too uneducated on the subject. But you might give Sblv a nod, also.

If Elvis Costello doesn't want to go to Chelsea, why would I?

I dont care who wins tonight... The most important thing is that Hull City win on saturday so we can be in the top division for the first time in our history!

The theme song plays:

Blue is the colour
Football is the game
Were all together
and winning is our aim
Cause' Chelsea
Chelsea is our name....

I'm glad Man U won, 'cos at least my boss will be happy tomorrow, but it's a shame it had to be done on a penalty shoot out!

Manchester United should have had it sowed up after 45 minutes but it took a penalty shootout. I knew Anelka would blow it. I had £2 on Man Utd but extra time and penalties don't count bah!

Henry Thoreau said "The tragedy in life is not in losing ,it is in almost winning". I guess Carr can relate.
