Excellent puzzle. One of the most interesting yet; I'm glad we are getting such a new perspective on the puzzles.
One question; is one puzzle missing its last word? ( My guess is yes but it is only a minor distraction).

I enjoyed it, too. Might have enjoyed some of those things more had it gone the other way.

I scored well, and the puzzles were certainly informative. I learned a lot of new information.
Yes, one puzzle did lack a word. It slowed me down seeking the solution, but I lost no points.
I enjoyed this quiz and congratulate Lisaal

amazing! Really good puzzle.

I suppose you were going to tell us you made out with one of the people in the WP at a party, Rowlanda?

I enjoyed it too although one of my puzzles seemed chopped as well.

I also noticed a record time to finish... almost 2 hours .. not complaining or accusing anything, just curious. Doesn't everyone elses session time out after a 30 mins or so? .. I have to at least guess a letter or load a new page or something to keep it active or else I time out.

Yeah, that's me, and my times are always slow. I felt compelled to give a list of reasons why in another thread where there was discussion about long times and some said the only conclusion to be drawn was that the player was googling, etc. etc. Anyway, aside from the fact that I'm naturally slow doing those puzzles, I'm almost always interrupted. I've been surprised myself that my sessions haven't timed out since my PC sometimes sits idle for long periods without any letters being selected while I deal with my cats, take a phone call, etc. I guess I've been lucky.

Was going to say, I bet Burt Reynolds was
KICKING himself for missing the opportunity.
His "acting" career seems to have really
stalled since he is no longer believable
as a young, tough, macho-male....

Lodi....for YOUR information, I did date
a man on and off for 25 years who was a dead
ringer for Burt Reynolds. Unfortunately, he
didn't have all that money. Fortunately he
was a much nicer person.
Is that close enough????

We dated on and off for 25 years, in between
relationships and marriages etc.
Every time - we broke it off when we remembered
why we broke it off the previous time!!!! LOL

Oh.. now that it is over.. which one was chopped at the end?.. just curious

Hi Lisa,
This might be the phrase in question (I may not have written it down exactly):

charlie sheens role as private taylor in platoon was initially declined by keanu

When I figured out that phrase, I expected to see Keanu Reeves, rather than just Keanu. But it was no big deal, and I still loved your puzzle!

Yes, that puzzle [missing Reaves] was the one I alluded to earlier.

Probably because there is a limit
of 80, including the spaces

Lisaal  (Level: 54.5 - Posts: 36)

oh yes i remember... if i added the Reeves i would have been over my limit and i thought Keanu would be enough since it's a rare name,... i do apologize if it messed up anyones time... i'm sorry

Don't worry about it, Lisa. This is one of those things we can talk about over in Hotwire in the Platinum Member's Guide to WP Authoring thread to see how we might want to handle stuff like that in the future.

It's only the people who get the best scores, who guess
at the I don't have any sympathy for them.
The rest of us have to slog at it - letter by letter!!!!
We don't have any pre-conceived expectations of what the
answers "should be" We can only deal with what unfolds
