I know I live in the Midwest and we are supposed to be harty people. It is 6 AM and I am freezing my patootie off. It is May 25th and I think it has hit 70 F only three times. I have an annual ritual that I stop wearing flannel shirts and go to short sleeve by May15th, not this year. My furnace is set at 66 and it is kicking off half the night. I don't like hot weather, I lived in Florida for three years, but come on, it is Spring. So Big Guy, while your waiting for the Word Puzzle, how about some heat.

I know what you mean!! While visiting my daughter and son-in-law here in Chicago, I have experienced the cold you are talking about! We went to Navy Pier yesterday and I shivered and complained all the way home last night!! It's spring and I had to borrow a winter jacket!!

I have had my sweat pants and long-sleeve shirts washed and packed to go to the basement 5 times now and before I can get them to the basement I end up pulling some out to wear! I know that in a couple weeks I'll be complaining about the heat, but I sure wish we could have some spring weather and not jump from late winter into summer.

We've received about 12 inches of moisture so far this year (our yearly total is around 20 inches) and had 1.65 inches just last night. The moisture is marvelous after 7 or 8 years of high temperatures and drought. Some places nearby have gotten 8-11 inches of rain, which is too much of a blessing.

As of today it is cloudy, probably 50 degrees with a light breeze. Gotta go find some more sweatpants to pull on!

Some of my retired friends who have moved to Florida, ("It's the law!"-Seinfeld), remind me of the weather but I'll stick to Michigan where "Happy Hour" doesn't start till 5PM.

I don't think we are supposed to call it Global Warming any more. I think now its called "Climate Change."

As there have been seven ice ages before now, this climate change can be put down to all the hot air the WINDBAG POLITICIANS keep pushing out.

Yes, Lodi, I noticed that while listening to Obama on the radio the other day. He referred to it as "climate change." All of us in the car chuckled because we knew he was talking about global warming -- just didn't want to be associated with Gore and his global warming
