PYRAMID

anyone else glad to see the Pyramid game show return to TV? Except now it's a million bucks they give away. Obviously with a million bucks on the line, they made it harder to do and the contestant has to get more words.

I loved the original Pyramid show and I hope this turns out as good as the original.

But it sort of bothered me that they all were standing up all the time. Don't know why, just did.

I haven't seen the new Pyramid show, but I did watch the new Password tonight since I used to watch reruns of that show when I was a kid, and my siblings and I had the game. Anyway, the contestants and celebrities were standing up on this new version, and I thought the same thing, "Why are they standing up?" It bugged me. I know the contestants on Jeopardy stand up all the way through. So, Pat, like you, I'm not really sure why the standing up bothered me, either.

Maybe it's so they won't snore when they fall asleep????
I'm not knocking the shows mentioned....
Just know how HOT and stuffy it is in those studios

A person thinks better standing up ("thinks on his feet"), plus it uses up more calories, allows more enthusiastic body language, and in general looks more assertive to viewers.

I think better sitting down, but that's just me.

To me, the standing up on Password, when you saw it, looked unnatural and made me tense. I think that's why I didn't like it. But fortunately, during each round, the cameras zoomed in for closeups. Plus, the players aren't allowed to use body language during a round, just facial gestures. Hmm. Maybe I just didn't like it that the format was different from the old one.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that found it awkward to watch. (Even if I had the name of the show wrong) Still liked the show.

I enjoyed it also. I thought it was awkward just standing there. I thought, "where's the podium?". It just didn't look right. Fun show though, are we easily entertained? I know I am!
