CARS WE DROVE

Don't forget to turn on your speakers, and when the website comes up, hit F11 on your keyboard (full screen) and you may view the entire show without losing viewable space.

The older you are the more you'll enjoy this.

Besides an awesome look at cars we know, the music is great and the history lesson is outstanding....enjoy.

Cheers, Bev

Great stuff! My folks had a black hard top '57 Chevy. I don't think they knew how cool they were! I had a '63 Chevy myself, loved that car! Everyone would "drive the circuit" in Asbury Park, NJ on a summer night. Good memories...

How timely! The National Street Rods East show starts this weekend in York.
Quite a busy weekend and a lot more traffic!
We live about 1/2 mile from the York Expo Center.

[My kids called these cars "old fashions"}

Check this link for some info. Thanks

My Dad's first "new" car was a 1966 Black Mustang - that's what I learned to drive in...and dang it he sold it.

My first car was a 1970 baby eggshell blue Galaxie 500 - LOVED that gas guzzler

Thanks, Bev, for sharing the link! I loved going back in time! The cars were great and the music, and those days were great and life didn't seem so complicated.

I'll bet Donden will love this site!

First car was a red 1967 chevelle Malibu. Fast as hell.

Wrapped it around a pole. I was okay, but I spilled my beer crawling out.

No kiddin' .. Wait until I can get out the poodle skirt, pull my hair back in a pony tail and tie a scarf around it and I'll join the rest of you at the malt shop for a cherry Coke. Afterwards, if any of you have the nerve, we can go on a deserted road and play "chicken" ... Ah, the good ole days.

This past Sunday my wife and I took our Mercury sled to a car show that was held right across the street from my previously mentioned drive-in. Back in the day there was a motel on the site of the show. Owners of this motel used to call the police when too many of us cruised "Bummies". To have a car show on the same land as the motel and it's car hating owners was sweet.
BTW, I was interviewed and my car was the subject of many photographs by "Little Shooter" of "USA in Focus" website and pictures will be posted later this week, and YES I am going to remind everyone.

My folks had a succession of Studebakers in the 50s. The best part of the car, as far as I was concerned was the arm in the back seat that lifted up to reveal a very large storage area. I got to be the keeper of the storage area. That was cool! And when we went on car trips the clothing bar hung in what must have been a huge space between the front and back seats - giving me a totally private area in the back seat behind the clothes in which to read and be alone. Loved those cars!

My own first car was a 62 Chevy which my folks gave me in 66 as a college graduation gift. Big and black. What a boat!

My first car was a '64 Rambler, got it in '66; all I wanted was a convertible with a radio

My second car was a 1969 Red Mach 1 Mustang-brand new off the showroom floor.
Wish I had that car now. Sold it for $2,500-probably worth more like $25,000 now.

Son had a '64 Impala show car.

Love the old cars. Thanks for the link.

I'm still hoping and praying for a baby blue 1968 Camero SS with mag wheels and 4 in the floor. Black interior and bucket seats...
And a engine that will make the thing fly!
