What a GREAT WP! Really challenging, and worth it! When I started one of the WPs I thought there was a spelling error in the clue, but by the time I finished it I discovered that the spelling was perfect. I hope everyone gets to do that one.

I absolutely LOVED this WP, great job! I figured out what to do, but I still made a bunch of silly mistakes... duh. Would love to see more like this (WP sequels) because it's a great idea and also I would like to do better on the next one!

Thanks for a terrific WP- great phrases and excellent clues-

Lets start a motion to get bbear to become an editor and do more of these.
Again, I echo the point about the clues; a lot of thought must have gone into making them hard but not too hard.

How would we do that? We would love to be editors (classical music, medicine and WPs only). Any thoughts?

Really enjoyed figuring this out. Had a "duh" and an "aha" at the same time.

To become an editor one needs to:
1. Play on Sploofus a lot, in a variety of games (showing dedication to and support of the site)
2. Have a plethora of pleasant, helpful posts here in BBS, and a minimum of whiny complaining posts
3. Demonstrate an ability to write with a minimum of spelling, grammar or punctuation errors

These are the most important traits Justin looks for when selecting new editors.

Other factors include at least 6 months of consistent participation, no shady behavior or complaints against you, and a general perception of being the sort of person that works well with others!

And just for the record, although some of us cover certain duties, none of the editors get to choose which quiz topics (or which players' work) we edit.

Good clues, clever puzzle, learned about some movies I hadn't seen -- all in all, a very enjoyable experience! Thanks, BBear!

Sploofizz, thanks for the background on how editors are hatched! If for no other reason than, it might reduce the number of whiny complaining posts! (yeah right) Anyway, fascinating info which I hadn't seen elsewhere.

And Bbear, you don't have to be an editor, since you are platinum you can do more WPs any time.... which I for one will look forward to!

Great puzzle! Sister always said that you would never know when the ability to read Roman numerals would come in handy.

Did anyone else wonder about the presence of a moive apparently titled "1974"? I can find two obscure short films with that title on IMDB, but that's all. Surely the desired title was "1984," which would have had one more X than the puzzle I took called for. Or did nobody but me notice this?

Tallactor  (Level: 153.1 - Posts: 423)

Oops, that was meant to read "movie," not "moive."

I thought I typed it right....maybe something lost in translation....if so very sorry. Blame the editor (just kidding, he was fantastic!) Thanks again for all the cudos.

Hey - I did my duty! I hadn't heard of half of those films (especially the martial arts ones) but I looked them all up in imdb. SInce I saw that a film called 1974 was there, I left it as the author wrote it!

Sorry - our bad. Thanks Sploofizz; you are the bomb and it was all us....
