This was a really fun WP, thanks! I thought the clues were excellent! One of them had me stumped for a bit, which is a good thing -- I enjoy a challenge. Now I have many wonderful sunny songs in my head.

It's pretty late when I took this (6:30 a.m. CST) but seems to be a word error - at least after over I haven't been able to find it listed this way any where - blew 9 moves because I was so sure I was right (I know this and it will now be in my head all day) - so after over will post again - interested to see this particular way - otherwise really had fun with this - good clues -

Sunny, yesterday our life was filled with rain (literally on the Wet Coast)
Sunny, you smiled at us and really eased the pain.

Oh, the dark days are done, and the bright days are here,
Our sunny one shines so sincere,
Oh, Sunny one so true, We love you.

Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet.
Sunny, thank you for the love you've brought our way.

You gave to us your all and all,
Now we feel ten feet tall,
Oh, Sunny one so true, We love you.

Thanks to Bobby Hebb, I paraphrased some

Fun puzzle

Still no Sun Emoticon, for our special girl

Kaelin, I have sung that song for 60+ years as "coming my way". That said, when I started looking this morning after your post, I don't find anything but "headin" or heading my way. I don't know why I knew it the other way but I called my siblings and they all agreed that's the way we heard it growing up. It will be interesting to figure this one out. Uncle Remus stories were our "read me to sleep" favorites and I still sing that song to my grandchildren (with eye rolls of course from the older two) but it still brings a smile. Sorry you lost moves.

LOL Luci - and I've always sung it heading (actually headin') my way - as I pondered I tried to put "coming" in there and it just didn't trigger anything - I'll have to see if I can rent the movie to see if I just "remembered" wrong.

I'm with you, Kaelin. I've NEVER heard "coming my way." That one had me stumped for a while until I just gave up and typed "coming" even though I was sure it was wrong.

First...Thank you all so much for your kind words and compliments! Hope the "sunny" tunes brought you some warm memories. Thanks, Cougar of my favorites!

Second, Kaelin and ZeeDee, my apologies! I took the line from a Disney's "Songs of the South" page, and indeed verified it. Now that I looked up the line with "headin", it is definitely written more often that way! Sorry about your lost moves...

Have a bright, bright sunshiny day!!!

I enjoyed the puzzle Sun - was just puzzled - still going to see if I can rent it - there was always such a controversy and I tried to get it for my kids and found they weren't releasing it for "politically correct" reasons which I found totally sad - It's like when they tried here several years ago to get Tom Sawyer banned because of some of the language.

I went to netflix, looked it up and added it to my queue - and it sits at the bottom
Song of the South - Release Date Unknown
If you are a netflix member and want to join in the conversation over there - there's the link

Song of the South was one of my favorite movies & the song in question a favorite song (hence the frustration ) - but I made a wrong assumption in assuming that after all these years it had been put on DVD
