WORD PUZZLES

It is a good thing that I do not do too bad at word rounds and answering the trivia quizzes, because I really stink at the word puzzles. Oh well, finish out this month and try again to get top scores next month.

My success in puzzles is mercurial as well, I sometimes do well on a familiar subject....til I get in a hurry and mispell a word, leave one out or add one not in the answer.

Some are definitely a struggle so i try to study up a little beforehand. If we could just make them all film-related, then it would be a nearly perfect world.

I do ok at word rounds too but I've decided they take too much time out of my day so I leave those to my past. TQOTDs I do ok at as well but I hit a string of physical science ones that knocked me silly.

I always do stuff like put in apostrophes and commas. I'm way too good at grammer and punctuation to be good at wordrounds!

I always type in my answers in all caps. It helps me scan it "Wheel of Fortune"-style to make sure I haven't added anything. Maybe that might help.

With the new scoring system, I try to think logically about the possibility of letters when I am not as familiar and just try not to have any misspicks. I go for that 5000 points more than the top 3 or 5. If it is a category that I really can find no knowledge or information on, I just skip it
