Dear Trivia Admin

This is to noitfy that, some of the users again they are cheating in word puzzles, how come they can score it in 5 moves itself. if this continue, we should take immediate action for that. or refund our money to us....

Maybe not on this one, unless you consider looking up lists of Oscar winners as cheating. When there's a finite group, as in Oscar Winning Supporting Actors, it just takes a great deal of patience to look at the list, find names that fit the number of letters in the the first part of the puzzle, before the "as." Then it's easy to google (or whatever search engine is being used) to find out the name of the character the actor played, and fit that to the second part of the puzzle.
That approach works on almost any of the puzzles with a finite number op possibilities and an unlimited amount of time.

I don't believe that for a minute. One of the Oscar set of puzzles was solved in 7 moves. 5 of them are for writing in the answer. That means, someone was theoretically able to guess three of them without a single letter, and 2 of them with one letter each. You believe that??? Some of them were rather lengthy. Even if you thought you knew it from the spacing, wouldn't you need to check it out with at least one letter??

I have a bridge, and lots of other stuff to sell you.

Well, personally, I do not google any answers as I do consider this to be cheating. Either I know the answer or I do not. But I guess you could look at it as an open book exam. I have always played only against myself, which means I try to make the least amount of moves in the least amount of time. This is probably why I have rarely made it into the top 75, also coupled with the fact I play it fast. This will be my best ranking in wordpuzzles ever (although my worse time at 423 seconds), but movies are my strongest area. I will stick to the wordrounds

Not to worry. Sploofus pays attention to these things! We will oust the cheaters.

well how about the fact that there is a misspelling in one of today's puzzles for poems. I checked the spelling and it cost me about 10 moves. Not that I get in the top 5 anyway unless Jupiter is in line with Saturn and Venus is dancing around naked but it sucks when that happens

We also had that one which was spelled wrong - it also took us numerous moves to fingure out how the heck sploofus was spelling it - and i don't know about anybody else - but I only heard of one of the five poems we had - and they were suppose to be "FAMOUS" - well FAMOUS to who?????? - and also - we are very tired of the cheaters and it doesn't look like SPLOOFUS is doing anything about because they are still there after months of cheating - this is the reason we are not renewing our Gold and leaving the site - fun is gone - leave it to the cheaters to go at it.

Joelwdonnal - you are 2nd place on the leaderboard for word puzzles! The cheaters and the misspellings can't be hurting your puzzle performance that much.

I dont know about you all but there are those of us who just enjoy and do the best we can, especially in puzzles (with dialup here), don't have the speed to "compete" in other areas. However, I finally can't deal with NONSENSE any longer and I Am truly tired of listening to those who cry all the way to the bank.
