Daiseylady, what kind of pony do you want? Quarter horse, Shetland, Tennessee Walker?

I would very much like a palomino, like Trigger, Roy Rogers' horse., a rich butterscotch body and a mane the color of fresh cream skimmed off the top of whole milk.

Donleigh  (Level: 146.0 - Posts: 4977)

I have to stop reading the posts before I eat. Now I want a butterscotch pudding and some scones with clotted cream. Healthy eats for all.

Uhhh, what is clotted cream?

Lovesmoodies  (Level: 45.7 - Posts: 132)

um, it sounds like something you might put on a rash...

Donleigh  (Level: 146.0 - Posts: 4977)

It is DELISH. Try finding an English tea served somewhere. The clotted cream is from Cornwell and is made from unpasteurized milk warmed slowly on a low heat and then letting it sit for several hours to form "clots".

You can make your own with two parts milk and one part whipping cream, heat for a couple hours over very low heat 'til a skim forms. Leave overnight and then harvest the clots and skin. The milk left can be used in other recipes.

Eat with warm scones or biscuits and jam.

Daisylady: There is a secret that only Platnium members know about. I just turned in my points for a 52 inch flatscreen. Pay up the $79 and you'll see!

Rnmorg  (Level: 128.2 - Posts: 690)

A real cheap and sleazy substitute for the clotted cream is to blend a cup of whipping cream to about a half a cup of sour cream and add small spoonfuls of confectioners sugar. You don't really want it too sweet, just enough to mask the sharp taste of the sour cream.

(Standing back and awaiting the pitchforks and torches from diehard clotted cream freaks!!)

I add confectioner's sugar to whipping cream when I make my own anyhow so that sounds like a realistic alternative.

Donleigh I'm a little concerned about leaving cream out overnight as you described,. My sensitive tummy might have issues with that

can I use my points to buy some clotted cream? I've been to several "Tea" places in Toronto...they don't know the meaning of the word.

Donleigh, that sounds very much like my mother used to make cottage cheese. As I recall, she would heat it on the woodburning stove, and at some point she would put it on the water reservoir and cover it with a towel. Then a few hours later or the next day I seem to recall her putting the towel over a bowl and straining the mixture through the towel. We ate the curds as cottage cheese. I was pretty little when she was doing this, so I may have some facts mixed up a little.

It is the same sort of process, without the whipping cream, just milk. Cheap, healthy food.

There's a pony loose among the threads? Catch it quick, before it eats all the clotted cream!

Hey Martina and Martin...and martini. Sorry, couldn't resist. Yeah, there's a pony loose on this thread, but don't worry about your clotted cream. Donna's little pony likes petrol!

Hiya, i'm kinda not a newbie but I don't understand what you do with Sploofus points. I just know I get them when I get stuff right. What do you do with them?

Welcome to Sploofus, Squigglepuff and others!

Points are a gauge of your progress on Sploofus, not refundable (as yet) for ponies, dream vacations or chocolate.
However, you can feel pleased with yourself, and brag as your points accumulate.

Here's some information that should help....

Each time you answer a question correctly, you will receive Sploofus Points corresponding to the game level you are currently playing. Your total Sploofus Points is an accumulation of those winnings, plus your accumulated bonus points, plus your wager winnings. Wager losses are debited from your total Sploofus Points. In addition to total Sploofus Points, there is also a Monthly tally. Your Monthly Sploofus Points tally represents the number of total Sploofus Points gained since the first day of the current month. Every Sploofus player has their monthly tally reset to zero at the beginning of every month.

The faster you answer a question correctly, the more bonus points you receive. These bonus points are proportionate in value to your current level of game play. Sploofus Bonus Points are added to both your total Sploofus Points and your monthly tally.

For each question you answer correctly, you will receive 1 Level Point. You will advance to the next Game Play Level once you have accumulated 10 Level Points. At that time, your Level Points will be reset to zero. You will then need to answer 10 more questions correctly to reach the next level, etc. If you redeem a Wager Token and answer incorrectly, your level points will be reset to zero; however, you will remain in your current Game Play Level.

By logging into the account management system at Sploofus.Com, you can access the Sploofus Referral Program. This program allows you to tell a friend about Sploofus. If they sign up, and reach Level 2, you get 10,000 Sploofus Points PLUS a Showdown Token. There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. This is an exciting opportunity to share the fun, and get Sploofus Points!

Hope this helps, and that you have a great time with us!!

I highly reccomend (did I spell that correctly?) throwing points into a gallon bag filled with powdered sugar, shaking well till all are coated, and eating them while working all the wonderful puzzles at sploofus. It is delicious brain food and you will replace your precious points in no time at all!
