AL / NL DH DEBATE

Hank's little tantrum about the NL needing to switch to the DH struck me as particularly pathetic. Add to that Mussina's ridiculous comments about pitchers only being able to run in straight lines. What, they never field their position in the AL? Injuries happen, it's part of the game. I chalk it up to Yankee syndrome - when they aren't winning, they're whining.

Course, I've always been a National League fan. I believe that just like in real life everyone must take their turn at the plate.

Sorry I missed this last week. Hank's tantrum was ridiculous. Far more years of baseball were played without the DH than have been played with it. That was a freak injury. Like someone said, if a player slips and falls in the shower, is he going to turn the water off?

Now I'm convinced there must have been some significant inbreeding a few generations back in the Steinbrenner line. Myself? I'm not strongly aligned on the DH debate ... I guess I kind of like the symmetry where every player hits and fields, but I don't find either brand of baseball an abomination.
