Hi! I'm trying to find recordings of Ted Heath's band back in the '40's. It's hard to find any big band in the U.S. much less that of a band from another country. Specifically, if possible, I want any recordings that list the band personnel. My music teacher, Harry Murphy, played trombone with Ted Heath, and I would love to get some recordings!

I am willing to pay any expenses, including your time looking for the music. If you find what I want, email me at and we'll discuss payment. I appreciate any help any of you can give me! Thanks in advance!

Thanks, guys! I hadn't thought of checking out Youtube. Although I DO want some CDs or LPs or something permanent.

Hi Nancy,

Buy direct -

It'll be no more expensive to get Amazon.UK to ship them to you, than if I do!

Apologies - have only just seen this.
I hate to admit it but I even remember the band!
But, surely, as above, Ebay and Amazon will give you all the opportunities you need?
Great sounds!
