WORD ROUND TREASURES

Every now and then, something comes up in word round that cracks me up or gives me pause. Like one time I had a question that had no question, just a set of five answers. I picked one. I got it wrong. Here's one I encountered while playing today.

Not extricable; inextricable.
ANSWER - Unextricable
>

How can inextricable not mean inextricable?

Anyway, these things are funny and I just wondered about some of the others some of you have experienced.

I've had plenty of those-I question several a day.I had one the other day which was almost exactly the same thing as you had today.I have not figured it out yet.Martha

my post appears to have been edited. The wrong answer was the same word as the question.

The wordround definitions apparently repeat sometimes. I wrote a wordrounds quiz using words or definitions I found funny or interesting (there's actually a word, for instance, that means 'A delirious picking of bedclothes by a sick person') but it couldn't be accepted since it might have given some of the answers away.

Geez, with the hundreds of word round definitions coming at you each hour, who will remember. Besides, they didn't delete the correct answer, just deleted what the wrong answer was. Its not like we're talking about national security. Whatever.

Who knows what the terrorists will use as a weapon against us next time?
I see an issue of National Security here, beware of Word Wars(uh, Rounds)...!
Warning! Warning! Terrorists approaching!

I have been wondering if the same answer choices always go with the same definition in Word Rounds. Very rarely I have seen the same definition come up again but I have no idea if the WRONG answers are the same. Are they randomly generated or attached to each definition?

FYI, eesusbejesus, your post wasn't edited. It looks perhaps as if you used angle brackets somewhere in your posting? The code which prevents users from trying to insert HTML into their posts must have stripped out whatever you wrote.

My conspiracy theory was much more fun.

Well, how do you know that wasn't just our cover story?
