I have noticed that editing quizzes has become very backed-up. I put one in today and am 96th for review; one I put in on Friday is 17th, which is only two less than it was Saturday morning. Are the editors allowed to "farm out" quizzes to platinum players to look over and then just give final review. This may help them out a bunch and I am certainly willing to help.

Any thoughts?

Quit tying the editors up with these questions. That would be a start. Didn't the very same question pop up the other day? It was addressed by two editors in the last post.

Bearpaw, we have had no Support Tickets from you recently. We are having a recurrent problem with the timer system, which doesn't affect play but gives you an error screen instead of a results screen. If you are filling out the box on the error page after getting the timer glitch, those reports go straight to Justin and his programming assistant, and editors never see them. Until this problem is resolved, please feel free to submit a regular Support Ticket when you get the timer error and we will be glad to tell you your results and make any compensation necessary.

Guess I didn't see that post either, Bleepy. It does seem with all the added puzzles that the editors are probably overloaded. I can think of some platinum players who would be pretty good at editing I think (not me) and I would be glad to suggest the name(s) if any editor would like to send me PM. Who knows? They may already be editors.

Seems like a good suggestion Bbear.

Simply getting that error code does not mean you did not get credit or points. None of us are immune to getting this error. I have had it happen to me. (And for the record, the program prevents editors from getting questions they have written) It can hide the fact. However, you can backstep to see you level before and after taking it.

The easiest way is to look at the question and see how many questions you need to answer to get to the next level, then look at your current level. This will tell you if you received credit.

EDITORS: Can we morph back to the original you all need help editing quizzes due to a long back-up? I would be happy to help you out, as I'm sure a lot of people would. I could help in medical and science and a bit if literature.

Bbear, I think an editor mentioned previously in a different thread that editors aren't able to pick or control the topics of the quizzes they edit...

I know, but that doesn't mean they couldn't pass out a few for review to the others on the island that are willing to help move things along a bit.

Thank you for your kind offer, Bbear, and we note and appreciate your interest. Adding to staff is a drawn-out process which we editors may not put into motion on our own initiative. There is usually some low-level discussion whenever we notice a likely candidate, but Justin and only Justin makes the decision to add new staff, and he has not asked us for nominations. There is absolutely no way we would ever pass out peoples' quizzes to other members to review.

We understand that players get frustrated waiting for quizzes to come out, and we're sincerely sorry that it's not possible to keep everyone happy, but it is the nature of this particular unwieldy beast to run in fits and starts, and the best way you and everyone can help us for now is by exercising that signal virtue, patience.

The queue may currently be longer than in recent weeks, but in the past it has been much longer. Players once understood that their quiz might not be live for up to two weeks - imagine that! While still well shy of perfect, the system is vastly improved, and though there will be bottlenecks and bumps in the road, we expect things to continue on a positive trend overall.

Thanks so much. Patience is simply a virtue I don't have. I always want "it" now. I will take a breath and step back. Maybe someone close to Justin might show him this thread just for giggles. Thanks again.

Prolly coulda squeezed out 6 or 8 more quizzes if they weren't over here answering questions.

Just a thought.

Also, I have developed a angioedema rash on my sploofus since the Friday nighter "mixer", and my support tickets have gone unanswered.

There is a cure for that. Take a salamader and cook it in corn oil then paste it on your sploofus. It feels good. Trust me.

I highly doubt one of the routine Sploofus sexual practices which led to the infection would, in fact, heal it.
