SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WEIRD WITH TOP TEN

Ok come on, who is not puzzled by the recent granitic immobility of the top ten?
I've had quizzes in there that get 1,000 takers and disappear faster than my #^&$%^$ Great Chefs quiz, which only has like 300 takers yet has been in the list for 20-some days!
Meanwhile, I've got other quizzes that are getting double the hits formerly required to make it into the Top Ten that have been bypassed in favor of a quiz that no one is taking. What gives?
Tuzilla, is anyone actually taking your 12,000-star-difficulty-rated Hoax quiz? Probably not, yet there it is.
Anyone know what's goin on?

My quiz that's up there is about to round the 1,000 mark. Whatever that's worth.

Sigh. I only wish I had that problem. Even my one quiz which got an Editors Award only got 15 takers, and it WASN'T on Star Trek, I promise!

First, yes, hundreds pressing toward a 1000 have taken it, and I might add that I have received more positive comments on it than any other quiz I have authored. While it was not always so, many people are genuinely enjoying a challenge over FITB and movie/song list quizzes. That should bode well for you, as your quizzes are also challenging.

I have wondered the same things at times. I can never know when "you" launched your quiz. I can know when I launch mine. My Hoax quiz made it to the top more quickly than usual, at least in my previous experiences. It was launched on 12/24/05, so taking into account the 31st, I suspect it will drop off on the 23rd or 24th. The other quiz I have in the Top 10 was launch on 12/31/05, so if it reaches the top, then I do not expect it to park there near as long as the other one.

I am not sure of the issue here...but I can only add my two cent's worth, I guess? My latest ("Caution! X-Rated!") made it to #4 on the Top Ten list, and I delighted in watching the number of takers increase each day. However, when it reached one month old, it disappeared from the list in a puff of smoke!
I was kinda sad to see that happen, as it was still a "rising star"

Don't feel too sorry for yourself, my friend. My EA quiz hasn't even reached 100 takers. I donI't care so much about the Sploofus points, but I find it nearly unbearable that more people aren't Beatles fans. That is just wrong.

A top ten quiz remains on the top ten list for a maximum of 30 days from the day it was first launched, no matter how many days it is on the top ten list.
