Yee Haw!
Well done & welcome to the club!!
You'll find the keys to the yacht under the big pile of money by the fireplace. Course I say 'money', but we think of it more as stuff for lighting your Havanas...

Rev, You and I started about the same time, I'm only halfway there. Complaining about questions and categories has hurt me. I think I've talked myself out of a billion already. I don't think I'm alone. I'll buy the cigars when I get their.

I've doled out a couple hundred million to some folks in ill-fated challenges.

Now I only wager on sports or vocabulary...learned a painful geography lesson a while back.

I picked up 35 million this morning by knowing a motion picture producer's name. Didn't even guess either.

My brain won't let me limit myself to only certain categories. It wants to win it all and has quite an arrogant little attitude about challenges. I'm sure I've lost a billion points on showdowns in categories I know next to nothing about.

Congratulations! I, too, moved up the ranks fairly quickly. But eventually, you get to a point where it's all you can do to just hold the place that you've got. I was shocked to learn that it is possible to win a billion point wager and still be in the SAME spot on the leaderboard. Now, do not read that as a whine (no cheddar, thanks...). I'm not complaining--just giving a little heads-up.
Again, congratulations!

Diane, it gets even harder higher up. You can cash a billion every 10 days and STILL lose ground. Someone must be cooking the books or something ...

Congratulations, Rev! I'm slowly on my way there. I've been 2 years getting to where I am.

Yipes! Billions of points and no way to move up?

Foo! Now I'll NEVER get the commemorative dish!

Maybe, when we all are on 2.0 we can all start from Zero. "NOT"

Shouldn't be a problem. I start over at zero at least once a month.

'Splain to me how you get these incredible amount of points. Do you bet the wad with every QOTD?

Is that a REAL Billionair, or just the American version. REAL Billionairs have 10 to the power of 12, not shortcake ones invented by you yanks.

Beth: Well, I started by LOSING my first showdown challenge...which didn't help matters at all.

But I guess one of the things that helped was using the showdowns. Since they don't hurt the person you challenge, there's no hard feelings about the outcome. I know a lot of folks don't like the random nature of the things, and when I drop a wad of points on some obscure Indonesian shadow puppeteer, I get irked. But heck, that's part of the risk!

Also, I'm faithful in the QODs and only using wager tokens in fields I'm comfortable with. When I hit those, I consider the Showdowns as playing with house money.

I'd say judicious wagering on QODs is probably the quickest path to the untold riches of Sploofus points....whatever they entail.
