I knew I wasn't going to like the new 2.0 and now found out why. While I like the format of the WP and it told me how many letters were in the puzzle, there was absolutely NO squares or blanks or anything for me to even see what I was filling in. So there goes my joy of doing WP

My WR and WM worked ok, but that's as far as I've gotten. I mainly come one twice a day, minimum to do the WP, tho am actually here more often than that usually.

So much for progress, at least for me. Hope it works well for everyone else.

Dwayla, that shouldn't happen. Put in a support ticket. The Beta version of WP's is the same except it loads faster & keeps what you've typed in if you guess wrong or just decide you need another letter to confirm your guess. Hope that helps

Support ticket is found in the HELP link at the top or bottom.

Try clearing your caches and stuff too, so it's not trying to look at the old pages. Some of us had that problem when we first came over but not anymore.

If I remember correctly, aren't you using a dial-up connection? Are you also using an older version of Windows, i.e. Win98SE and thus maybe an older version of a browser? If so, I wonder if that could have anything to do with it? Just a thought.

I have Windows 98 and mine worked fine, so it's not a 98 problem.

Thanks All! I did go to do a support ticket, but it said that if the problem was already there to not repeat it, so I didn't.

I'm on a Mac and used IE5.0 which is as far is IE will go for older Macs. Been gone all day, so missed the earlier WP, so am going to try Netscape this time, tho last night anything with a timer, ie quizzes or TQOTD don't load on there.

As to clearing things out, is that the same as clearing cookies? I just did that a week or so ago, but can do that again. If it's not, then I have no idea what clearing my cache is.

Sorry to be computer illiterate and yes, I"m on dialup. One of these days hubby is getting dsl, but I'm still waiting and it's been awhile since he said it, so I'm not hopeful of it happening anytime soon.

Again, thanks all You're great!

Don't know if this will help, but i am on webtv2 and have not had any problems, except getting used to drop down menus in my way sometimes, and that is on dial up. Charlotte

Didn't you have a problem similar to that - in Version 1 - a while ago????
I seem to remember you saying you had no way of knowing how you were
doing while you actually did the Puzzle parts.
Don't remember how you solved it ----was it around that time Justin suggested
we use Firefox to access Sploofus????

Just noticed "mplaw51" says she usesa version of IE, so maybe she can advise you????
When I was travelling and couldn't get on used to drive me crazy that I
couldn't do the WP twice a day

I am on a mac and I can't get IE to work for a lot of things so I dumped it. Personally I love Safari, but I have to use Firefox for a couple things, like posting photos (and some of my online banking). I think you will have a lot better luck without IE.

I am also doing much much better since switching to Firefox!
