I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem. It happened throughout all of my puzzles tonight, and maybe even earlier than tonight, but this morning, I thought it was just me.

Tonight I paid specific attention, and it is happening on a regular basis throughout the wordpuzzle. When I click the intended letter, it registers if it is correct, and if not, says "Sorry" as usual, but while this is happening, the letter next to it shows up as if I clicked it, which I didn't, which some are j's and odd letters which aren't used as often, so I know I am not clicking them. However, this letter (whichever it is that I didn't click) shows up automatic, either right in a square or the "Sorry" message. I hope I'm making sense with this, and I have sent in a Support Ticket, but am wondering if it has happened to anyone else. At this rate, I am losing points and moves double time.

That has happened to me once before; not tonight (Animated Facts 2).
I've had unchosen letters show up in the puzzle, then disappear with
the next choice. Don't know that it ever cost me points.

There is a spelling error in the puzzle. Reported @ 7:30 cst.

Me too. I started the WP, got through three of them, then had it all reset - but with all the previous moves counted!

Methinks we need an editor for a reset

Should you encounter a glitch in tonight's Word Puzzle, please put in a Support Ticket for a reset.

Thank you!

Marilyn, I don't mean to insult you, but it almost sounds like you are double-clicking on the letters rather than single-clicking. Assuming that you are indeed single-clicking on the letters, perhaps there is something about your browser or computer that treats it as a double-click (perhaps if you hold down the mouse button an extra long time, for example). If so, it may not have been a factor in 1.0 which was much slower and programmed differently. Just a theory, your problem may not have anything to do with single vs. double click!

How long have you had this problem? All the time since you were on 2.0?

Updated to add: My "Just a theory" sentence above would have made more sense if it had actually said:

The above is Just a theory, and your problem may not have anything to do with single vs. double-click.

I think you may be double clicking and not knowing it. If you click a letter and it is right or wrong, the whole alphabet moves a space to the left in 2.0. Hope that helps

I think that double click idea may be correct. I've noticed in 2.0 that after I've asked for a letter my cursor is over the letter adjacent to the one I've just picked, just waiting for me to select it. A sensitive mouse might just select the letter right away. Just a thought as the others have said....

I had thought that in the beginning, about the double clicking, but I started watching it really closely after it was happening so often, so I don't really think that is it. I have been using the Beta ever since it was available as a tester, and this hasn't happened before unless maybe this morning. This morning I thought it was just me, and I wasn't doing real well on that particular puzzle since with the two worded ones it's easier to lose a lot of points for me, since I select vowels quite often, and in the short phrases, naturally, there is more of a chance of choosing a wrong letter. I will definitely watch that in the future, but just thought it strange it hadn't happened until today.

Thanks for all of your input and suggestions. The editors reset my puzzle, and if it happened the second time, I think it may have only been once.
