CONGRATULATIONS, SLICKO, ON THE DOUBLE WTHAI WIN!

Wow, pretty impressive! I've been studying these, trying to figure out how to solve them if I don't happen to actually recognize the person or place. The one time I actually recognized the place, Masada, I talked myself out of it, didn't take a guess, and it turned out to be Masada! Anyway, I'm in awe of those who consistently get these, like yourself, Pepperdoc, Nelly, Smoke, et al.

I agree, that was pretty spectacular, and I think with just 2 squares each! Very impressive!

Although I haven't spent much time trying the WTHAI puzzles, I was impressed by Slicko's double victory as well.
Awesome.

I got this morning's puzzle, Grant Wood, as soon as I logged on,
three squares, but don't think I would have if he hadn't been the
answer to a Jeopardy question last week. I've spent hours on
some --- Clive Barker --- and am now in the camp that believes
if you don't know the answer quickly, Gooogling is not gonna help
much.

Props to Slicko, Nelly, Smoke, et al.

BTW: Wood is an Iowan.

I had to laugh at Mango! Only a SNL afficionado would get that! Hats off to you on both, I sure was impressed, I don't know them when they are all revealed!

Ditto, Slicko. Very impressive. I am not worthy, 'cause I can't get any of them even when the entire thing is revealed. Guess I'lll just go back under my comfy little rock.....

My feeling about the WHAI (both)
is that they are only for the well-
travelled, and people who read the
Encyclopaedia for FUN !!!!

First of all, I have won twice on these things. Once was a blind guess and the other time, the person recently died. I find the game to be way too repetitive, especially the "Where am I " thing. Looking at scenery photos can be very misleading and put you on the other side of the world. This is a stretch, but if the pictures could be enlarged, it would help everyone.

I think they are grand fun. Not even gotten close once. My vision is not all that; any way to blow them up?

I use a magnifying glass & still I've only gotten a few. All of which, I kinda knew right off, googling has just been a waste of time. Now I just put in the odd guess & hope for the best Congrats to Slicko, Nelly, Smoke, Larrybus & anyone else I've forgotten on being super sleuths

Thanks folks - that was kinda cool getting them especially now with so many people googling away. Mango was too funny. I do agree with Rowlanda that traveling helps - the Where that night was Old Orchard Beach - we had visited there just a few years ago so it was still fresh in my mind.

Well. I admire you Slick...WRs, Wps, etc. You are slick in my book, but the best part is your generosity to others!

Salute! Bravo! and my bow...which I don't give out often.... ....well, maybe never!

WTG!
