FYI, there's a spelling error in the current WP (Fours Part Deux). I put in a support ticket so it should be fixed shortly. Cost me 3 moves due to a "wrong" guess but I'm mostly trying to keep all my points...

Thank you for the heads up. The Word Puzzle has been corrected.

Can I just file a note to say how angry I was at one of the questions in today's puzzle.
Yes i know there is a culture of entitlement... I dont expect to get puzzles I can solve without guessing a letter (not that I'd complaion.....) but there's a limit to the screwballs compilers should be allowed to throw.
I'm not illiterate; I'd set my vocab ulary skills against anyone out on the site. When I get confronted with not one but two words I've never seen before, one so obscure that when I get nine letters out of ten and still have NO idea of the last letter, the playing field is not level.
Anyone who got that puzzle will have wasted (and I mean wasted) ten minutes of their life and basically the whole puzzle. Anyone who did not should feel happy.

I've never seen such a disparity of difficulty on a word puzzle; and i think the setter should have known that before torturing us this way.

I wish you Snooker TQOTDs for the rest of your life.

I refuse to berate a puzzle...but there's one answer that cost me 12 ... count 'em, 12 ... penalty points.

And, for once, it ain't because I typed wrong.

That's what I get for paying attention in history class and spelling.

I'm writing this BEFORE I open the puzzle [PMB's Fours]; so all I have to go on is that I'm probably not going to have a hap hap happiest word puzzle since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny F_ _ _ _ _ _ _ Kaye.

But maybe not.

Well thanks for the warning- I'm opening a peppermint pattie.
If I choke on it while playing, [expletive deleted].

You dare (almost) defame the hallowed name of Danny Kaye??????? I'm shocked!! Shocked, I say!

Barry, I've taken up a bi-weekly Snooker course at our local Junior College. Thanks for the concern.

Well, I didn't choke on my p.p.

So I might do a tap dance.

Kept all my points and pretty high finish.
Hope Bill posts all ten phrases later.

Yummy- hey ma, another peppermint pattie please !!

I am about to do the puzzle, so I have no opinion on it yet. But if I have to figure out Danny Kaye's middle name, or worse, his middle initial, I won't be happy.
