HOW POINT VALUES FOR QUIZ'S ARE DETERMINED

I know that I've seen something on this at some point, but am unable to find it - so sorry for asking but am trying to figure it out
Example (happens to be a kerblunk):
100% - 18
90% - 16
80% - 10
70% - 5
60% - 2
50% - 3
10% - 1
-------------
Listing shows As:
Taken - 55
RAT - 8.14%
APR - 85%
DIFF - 1 (2)
PTV Earned - 77
----------------------------------
Erroneously, I would have assumed that difficulty of 1 would be for 100% by everyone - but that is not the case from this example - can someone help me (and possibly others) understand?

Sorry if this has been previously answered.

I think it means something like "averages score is above 90%".

I must be dense because I still don't understand based on the stats how this translates to a difficulty level of 1?

You're not dense. I just don't speak English.

If the average result is above 90%, the difficulty is 1.
Otherwise, if it's above 80%, the difficulty is 2.
Otherwise, if it's above 70%, the difficulty is 3.
etc.

What I believe to be a glitch, but have not been able to get acknowledged is the "1(2)" in the "Diff" column. What is that supposed to mean? Also, the "PTV" column rarely, if ever, accurately reflects the number of points an author gets when the quiz is taken based on the formula of "Difficulty Rating" times the popularity rating of the quiz.

I have no idea what the Diff means. As for the points per taken, for some time it's been the difficulty times the autor's average quiz rating, rather than the popularity of the particular quiz.

APR = ? - I still think I don't get that - I was going through stats again today - I'm not a math idiot - but feel pretty stupid trying to understand...

I wish the search were still here because I remember a post over a year back by Justin on this - but gave up going through the threads

Editors or anyone who might know:
What do the parens mean in diff? The 5 thingy makes no sense.
Also, what is an APR
Also, when are the points given out after:
1. the closing of a tournamet
2. the end of the month for WPs and squares.

Thanks

I was looking again this morning and see
1 (2)
1 (3)
4 (0)
4 (5)
4
5
5 (7)

I would really just love to understand the determination - I'm assuming there has to be some reason and that it means something?

Kaelin, you and I seem to be the only ones particularly concerned about the error in Difficulty Rating that results in you getting less points when your quizzes are taken based on the "PTV" thread I started in Salty Dog and your posts here and in my PTV thread.
