A really deceptive puzzle--it looks like it's going to be fairly simple, but it turns out to be incredibly difficult. The hardest WP I've seen in quite a while!

I loved it although I do think that it was tricky but then that is certainly okay too! Good job Katy!

Good puzzle - thoroughly enjoyed it. Bet you still have more things in that kitchen to do another puzzle -- plus, there's the whole house to go through! Good job.

Great puzzle! I really enjoy puzzles like this that are totally non-Googleable. And one of them really struck a chord with me, I gotta tell ya!

good clues - great puzzle - makes people think - many I find applicable to my own kitchen except for the first one -- LOL

I really enjoyed this WP. I actually had heard of every word before...nothing esoteric.

Loved it! We try to make ones that are not googleable but yours takes the cake, if you catch my drift.

Now that it's over, Kootas.
I have a wall plaque that says "Martha Stewart doesn't live here and that's good thing"
Also, the one on the dishwasher (which my six foot husband got) was the funniest thing ever! Excellent job.

Woo hoo! Came in at #1...

What I really came here to say tho, was that I especially loved the puzzle that said something like "Twenty three cookbooks of dubious value". I probably have a good 80 or so cookbooks. Do I cook? Well...hardly ever. And, when I want a new recipe, what do I do? Look it up on the Internet, of course.

I actually just put up a few of my cookbooks on Amazon. One sold so far. I think I truly made about 65 cents. Made it on the postage allowance. Had to sell the book for less than Amazon's commission.

Once again - loved the puzzle!

Gee Alice, you don't happen to have a Fanny Farmer Cookbook you're willing to part with. We scrounged up 2 but I have a 3rd niece Very tricky Ms Katydid, but you still done did good Threw in a couple of safety letters 'cause I thought I was outta the money, wrong again

Great puzzle- and I scored well.
Do I know much about kitchens?
No- except that my peppermint patties are kept in the refrigerator.
Oh, the five puzzles I had did not mention a microwave oven- I understand that appliance.
Actually, maybe the ten puzzles had everything but the kitchen sink.
Nevertheless- well written!

Nope - Never had a Fannie Farmer. We do have some from the 1800s, but they're not part of the massive general pool. Meanwhile I'm trying to remember the last time I cooked...

Hi you guys! Thank you so much for your positive comments! I was offline for a couple of days, and missed this post. And, I didn't even get to take my own WP! Here, by request, is the list of all 10 puzzles:

KOOTA's Kitchen Inventory

1) Cannisters for flour sugar tea and cookies
Hint: To keep the bugs out
2) Enough Mountain Dew to survive a serious emergency
Hint: Even better than water
3) Every cool kitchen gadget on the market
Hint: I need it for cooking!
4) At least twenty baskets on shelves and on walls
Hint: Decorations overdone
5) Hand made potholders woven from cotton loops
Hint: Nylon ones melt
6) Twenty three cookbooks of dubious value
Hint: I can't give 'em up.
7) Bright yellow walls and an orange breakfast nook
Hint: Certainly not boring
8) A dishwasher that stands five foot three inches tall
Hint: Not mechanized
9) A refrigerator on its last legs and an unused microwave
Hint: From two different decades
10) A wall plaque proclaiming live well love much laugh often
Hint: One last decoration

I'm off to write the next one. I can't decide between the bathroom or the garage.
