Thanks, Linda! I knew how sick he was, and he was one of my favorite people on Fox News. I haven't had the news on this morning or I would have seen it. I was hoping he would be okay. I remember him as the Press Secretary and thought he did a great job. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him and cared for him.

Marilyn...

The scary thing about this for me is my sister-in-law and friend since 1956 was just operated for colon cancer last week. It is an inconvenience and a little invasive but I recommend a colonoscopy for everyone. The hardest thing for me was the day before with all the drinks you take.

The test may be uncomfortable, but it can be a life saver, that is how they found out i had a maligant tumor in my right kidney and caught it soon enough to remove my kidney and get all of the tumor. It will be seven years ago for me in August, so if your Doctor recommends one please have it done. charlotte

I'm sorry to learn of Mr. Snow's passing. Although my political views were not much in sync, he was a gifted journalist , writer, and communicator. I know he was a dedicated family man- my condolences to his family.

Yes, the colon cancer screening procedures are not pleasant, but they're well worth the preventative aspect.

Ditto my feelings. I thought he was the classiest reporter and most knowledgeable, amiable press secretary. I really respected the way he handled his work. He will be greatly missed. I was afraid he had slipped out of remission when he stepped down so quickly from the PS job.

The process of having a colonoscopy is nothing if it prevents uneccessary deaths like this. Over the years, I have had three colonoscpys, none of which were unpleasant. In the UK, they put you on a drip, which relaxes you, and also causes you to forget the experience, I have had several pollips removed during these checks, none of which, fortunately, were malignent. Dont be afraid of this treatment. it might save your life,.

I'm so sad to hear about Tony. He was so great, and I really admired how he kept working and doing a great job as long as he could.

My fabulous mother-in-law also died of colon cancer and I can attest that the inconvenience and discomfort of the prep and testing is nothing compared to what people go through with cancer. Colonoscopies are a must!

Good news is that I found out somewhere (Prevention? pharmacy?) that there is now a pill you can take for the prep instead of drinking that gallon of gag-inducing liquid! Makes the hardest part of the procedure easier to take (no pun intended).
