Cute, Tuz ... I had fun with this one.

It took me 3 tries to figure out the theme .... but you guys will do much better. I was having a massive brain fart.

(Apologies to all who are offended by the word "fart". I could have said "Flatulence" ... Sry!)

A lot of fun. The first puzzle was my downfall- lost a lot of points until a tree branch smacked me in the head and it "hit me".

That's why we play these puzzles.
Live and learn- and remember for the next time.

I blew a lot of points until the light bulb went on. Fun puzzle. Thanks.

The only thing that made me scream "Son of a birch, I've been sequoiaed!" was that the Don Cherry I think of has nothing to do with jazz. Isn't the hockey guy more poplar? Yew be the judge.

I didn't get the whole tree people thing, d'oh!

Thank you for all of the nice comments. I was afraid to use Don Cherry the hockey coach and sports commentator. But jazz in somewhat obscure, too. I should have used our state's lieutenant governor John

Boy, this was one of those puzzles that what you get first can really make the difference when you're not sure what your going for. I got Elmer Fudd & was 600 hundred points down with only the e's and a u showing when Elmer Fudd popped into my brain. Had Christina Applegate second, if only it was reversed I'd have done so much better I had Don Cherry too, who I'm not familiar with, unless the clue was hockey, of course. Oh well, still a good puzzle, Steve

My first puzzle was the Don Cherry phrase. The clue "jazzy" wasn't helpful. I luckily got the word "Cherry" without losing any letters, but then blew 700 points getting "Don".

He recorded "Band of Gold" in the 1950's. That would have been a helpful clue.

But that wasn't the clue!

I must have gotten the puzzles in the same order as Randy. The Don Cherry one got me too. Nevertheless another great puzzle from Steve.
