Just for fun try NOT reading your word round questions, just click random answers and scroll as fast as you can...

I wanted to see if I could even come close to some of those winning times. My best time (and I got 30% correct too!) was 12.7 seconds.

Now if I could read two questions per second I might have a chance!! LOL

What a fascinating idea! So, I tried it. I only got one question right, and it took me 20.8 seconds. What takes me a long time is scrolling down to the next questions; I think it must be the kind of mouse one has that makes the real difference. I did a WordRound once at my daughter's house with a very different mouse, and got a better time than I ever do on my computer. It's very scary though to see all that red come up! LOL

I didn't do as well as you, Suzer. My lowest in three tries was 13.02 secs.

I have a cordless optical mouse that is very touchy-- sometimes I need to click twice to get it to fill in the answer bubble (very annoying) and I only get two questions per screen. My laptop gets three questions per screen but I have a touchpad which is impossible to use for WRs!

You should be able to go into your mouse settings and adjust/alter that.

My suggestion:

Use a wheel mouse (a mouse with a little wheel between the 2 buttons). Scroll the page down with the wheel in between clicks. Keep your finger on the "Enter" button, and press Enter to submit the answers right after your last click as opposed to clicking the submit button with your mouse. That should trim a few seconds from your time.

I think we should pitch in and get BigBird a new mouse for ...well, just being BigBird!! Then I need another person to edge me out??? Interesting....very interesting.

Using the scroll wheel definitely helps me.

However, the 'enter' button does not affect the 'submit' button for me...I have to actually click on it.

BUT, when I use my laptop with only a trackpad, I keep one finger on the down arrow button and then it's almost as fast as the scroller wheel to move down the screen!

The enter button didn't work on my Mac, but it does on my PC. I agree that the wheel on the mouse is absolutely essential. I can only blame my slow times on my slow brain!
