Fainodraino wanted me to start this thread (for some reason he can't start one anymore as a free member, which is a whole other topic).

We've been running into a lot of spelling errors on Trivia Squares. On trivia quizzes and kerblunks, spelling errors don't cause problems, but on Trivia Squares, we have no idea what the "correct" spelling is going to be. Should I double the 4th letter? The 5th? I have had some that I had to constantly try different variations of wrong until I got it right.

Very frustrating!

I think this is being worked on. Currently there is no way for either the author or the editors to correct a square once it is lauched. This can be fixed with quizzes and Kerblunks. I tried to get one of mine deleted that had typos that were frustrating folks and there is currently no method for that.

When I can't figure out a mis-spelling I POLITELY privately write the author and ask them. That works every time.

Hope that helped.

Isn't there a way for the editor to check the puzzle for errors before it is launched?

We take extra care with the Squares for just this reason, but we're only human.
