ADVICE ON PICTURES FOR THE SQUARES, PLEASE

I love making squares with pictures but can't figure how to make them bigger than a thumbnail. Some of you have these large beautiful pics and I'm jealous. Any thoughts?

Perhaps your original pic has low-resolution, or has been edited-down to a smaller size..either in actual inch x inch dimensions, or in Kbs.

When choosing your image from internet sources, make sure it's a fairly big'un before saving it. I *think* it will adjust to suit when you add it to your TS.
Mind you, don't make it over 2Mb, as it will not be accepted!

Cheers, Bev

Bev: I've tried it every which-a-way and they always seem to be the same tiny size.

Group: What am I doing wrong? You all have such great photos! Any help would be appreciated!

In my Windows photo gallery, I can resize the pictures. Have you tried adjusting the picture before you load it? When I click on the picture there is a "fix" button at the top. Click on that and then find the "zoom" button on the bottom toolbar. Try playing with your pictures - it might take a little time at first, but hang in there. Donna

Thanks, Don. Tried that to no avail. I found an edit place, enlarged the photos, saved them that way, moved them to my latest effort at a square, and they came up little. What on earth am I doing wrong???

Bbear, this is what I do. Firstly, I save all suitable images as JPEG, on My Pictures folder. The when I have selected the most attractive picture, I edit it on my Paint Software and use the "Stretch and Skew" programme to extend it above 100% vertically/horizontally (or both). The bigger you project it when editing, the larger it will appear on the TS crossword grid.
