In my mail last week was a paperback book, THE SHACK, sent from Papa' I'd never heard of the book, hadn't ordered it. But looking it over a quote on the cover said, "This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress did for his. It's that good!" Its cover declared it is "where tragedy confronts eternity" so I thought I would give it a try. Within a few pages I was hooked and a couple of days later I sadly finished it. Now I cant wait to discuss it.

I eventually tracked down the sender, by the way, and at that time there was a website where one could "Shack" someone who might enjoy reading THE SHACK.

And I notice it's #1 on one of the book lists in my paper.

THE SHACK is fiction but reading it might give you a new slant on life... and love... and eternity... and forgiveness

Let's discuss!

I just looked for the website to SHACK someone... Google: papa's love and an explanation comes up.There is a place to click to "Shack Someone" or go to the library and get it. It's by William P. Young, his first and probably only book.

I am disappointed nobody has responded so I guess nobody has read THE SHACK... Get going folks! It's great!

I've heard of it, and it's on the book shelf at church, but it's currently checked out. Sounds a little out of my usual style, but there's a lot of buzz about it so I may give it a try.

Come on over and join the book of the month club in Groups and start a thread on it there and you might get more responses.

I actually have it! I had to check to see if it was the same book. A friend gave it to me when she was loaning me some books. I hope it's not all preachy....?

No, I wouldnt say it's preachy but you will be surprised at how it will help you look at your life and decisions, etc. It's a good novel and has a lot of laughs. Try it. You'll like it. Then tell us what you think!
