Puppyfoot on 08/02/2009
|The lyrics to "O for a Thousand Tongues," a Christian hymn, were written by Charles Wesley. He wrote the words as part of a longer hymn. John Wesley's ‘A Collection of Hymns for the People Called Methodists' was the first hymnal to include this song. This hymnal was published in 1780. The version used here is from the 1940 edition of ‘The Broadman Hymnal.'|
As always, your task is to fill in the blanks to complete the excerpted lyrics for this song.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE: I realize that many hymns have different versions of lyrics because they have been revised over the years. If you feel that any of the "wrong" answers on this quiz are actually correct and can send me information verifying this, I will gladly consider changing the answers. Thanks for your help.
