Inspiring Lyrics - "Come, Thou Fount"

puppyfootPuppyfoot on 08/24/2008

trivia quiz "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" has lyrics written by Robert Robinson, a Methodist pastor and hymn-writer. He wrote the lyrics to the song in 1757, when he was 22 years old. He set the words to a folk tune written previously by an evangelist, Asahel Nettleton. The questions on this Kerblunk are from three verses of this hymn.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: I realize that many hymns have different versions of lyrics because they have been revised over the years. If you feel that any of the "wrong" answers on this quiz are actually right and can send me information verifying this, I will gladly consider changing the answers. Thanks for your help.

another good one ---keep them coming. Robinson was a drunk until he heard Georgbe Whitefield
preach from Matthew Chapter 3. He sobered up and entered the ministry a few years latre. this
hymn was a prayer he wrote for Pentecost Sunday. Why am I giving you this trivia? Well, these are
trivia games I suppose ---sorry...you probably already know all this stuff anyway. Just know it is my
way to say bravo for the hymn quizzes and keep them coming. Thanks again
