The Films of Malcolm McDowell

|Due to his career-defining turn as Alec in Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" (1971), Malcolm McDowell's place in film history is firmly secure. As notorious as "Orange" is, McDowell's legacy also contains his performance as the title character in Bob Guccione's X-rated classic, "Caligula" (1979). |
McDowell has always been a working actor, as his long list of B-movies will attest.
I recommend seeking out the trilogy of films he did with director Lindsay Anderson (beginning with 1968's "If...."). His performance as H.G. Wells in Nicholas Meyer's "Time After Time" (1979) is a pure delight, and is well worth your while.
