|The films made during the late 1960s and early '70s are now considered a new golden age of American cinema, and rightfully so. The major studios took chances and gave directors an artistic freedom that is today found almost solely within independent circles.|
If you were to put a face on the films of this period, you would do well in using the face of multi-award winning actor Al Pacino.
Although Pacino's body of work spans the decades, containing many wonderful performances, it is his early work in several landmark films of the '70s that define him as an actor, and us, the movie-going public of that time, as a nation.
