Sploofus Survival Guide

CONTEST RULES
- No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. You must be at least 18 years of age to play Sploofus.
- Only one account allowed per person. IP addresses are checked regularly. Violating this term will result in the immediate
termination of your Sploofus account(s) without notice.
- ONE Sploofus Trivia Question of the Day will be sent to you via e-mail each day. By clicking the link in the e-mail, you can play Sploofus at a time and setting that is convenient for you.
- Each Sploofus Trivia Question of the Day will expire 10 days from the time it was e-mailed to you.
- Questions are multiple choice and rotated daily by category, depending on which Sploofus Edition you are playing.
- You are timed while answering Sploofus trivia questions. The faster you answer, the more Sploofus Bonus Points you are rewarded. You have a maximum of 30 seconds to answer each question.
- Sploofus will start you out at Level 1. Your Sploofus Trivia Question of the Day will become progressively more difficult
as you advance in the game.
- Each correct answer will credit you with 1,000 Sploofus Points, plus Sploofus Bonus Points correlating with your current Game Play Level and how quickly you answered the question.
- Every time you answer a question correctly, you will be awarded a Sploofus Level Point. Once you accumulate TEN (10) Level Points you will be promoted to the next level, and your level points will return to zero.
- Each time you advance to a new level, you will receive ONE Sploofus Wager Token.
- Before you are given a new trivia question each day, you will have the opportunity to redeem a Sploofus Wager Token (if you have
any). This will allow you to wager UP TO 25% of your Sploofus Points on the pending trivia question. If you answer correctly, you will
win standard Sploofus Points, plus Sploofus Bonus Points, plus your wager. If you answer a question incorrectly, and you have
placed a wager, the wager amount will be deducted from your existing Sploofus Points. In addition, you will forfeit any Level
Points accumulated for your current level.
- You will not be penalized for answering a question incorrectly, unless you redeem a Sploofus Wager Token.
- You will receive ONE Showdown Token each week. This token is used to “challenge” other Sploofus players (see the Showdown Tokens section).
- Current Sploofus leaders are displayed on Sploofus.Com. The leaderboard is arranged by monthly leaders, level leaders, category leaders, speed leaders and all-time point leaders.

EDITIONS
Sploofus is available in multiple editions. While the most popular is the Sploofus Classic Edition (including categories such as Vocabulary, Physical Science, Music Books & Movies, Geography, World History, Number Problems, etc.) there are also other exciting trivia editions available for your enjoyment. Examples are the Sploofus Sports Edition and the Sploofus Bible Edition, all available from the Sploofus.Com web site.
SPLOOFUS POINTS
Each time you answer a question correctly, you will receive Sploofus Points corresponding to the game level you are currently playing. Your total Sploofus Points is an accumulation of those winnings, plus your accumulated bonus points, plus your wager winnings. Wager losses are debited from your total Sploofus Points. In addition to total Sploofus Points, there is also a Monthly tally. Your Monthly Sploofus Points tally represents the number of total Sploofus Points gained since the first day of the current month. Every Sploofus player has their monthly tally reset to zero at the beginning of every month.
SPLOOFUS BONUS POINTS
The faster you answer a question correctly, the more bonus points you receive. These bonus points are proportionate in value to your current level of game play. Sploofus Bonus Points are added to both your total Sploofus Points and your monthly tally.
SPLOOFUS LEVEL POINTS
For each question you answer correctly, you will receive 1 Level Point. You will advance to the next Game Play Level once you have accumulated 10 Level Points. At that time, your Level Points will be reset to zero. You will then need to answer 10 more questions correctly to reach the next level, etc. If you redeem a Wager Token and answer incorrectly, your level points will be reset to zero; however, you will remain in your current Game Play Level.
REFERRAL POINTS
By logging into the account management system at Sploofus.Com, you can access the Sploofus Referral Program. This program allows you
to tell a friend about Sploofus. If they sign up, and reach Level 2, you get 10,000 Sploofus Points PLUS a Showdown Token. There is no limit to the number of
people you can refer. This is an exciting opportunity to share the fun, and get Sploofus Points!
GAME PLAY LEVELS
New accounts begin at level 1. This is the easiest level of Sploofus Trivia. As you acquire level points and advance to higher levels, your Sploofus Trivia Question of the Day will become increasingly more difficult.
When you answer a question correctly, you are awarded Sploofus Points equaling your current game play level (plus Bonus Points, etc.). There is no maximum game play level. As long as you continue to answer ten questions per level correctly (getting 10 Level Points) your Game Play Level will increase.
WAGER TOKENS
Each time you reach a new game play level, you will be rewarded with a Sploofus Wager Token. These tokens can be redeemed before
you answer your Sploofus Question of the Day for the category of your choice. Once redeemed, you are able to place a wager on your
ability to answer the pending question correctly. If you succeed, you win the wager. If you fail, you lose the wager AND your Level
Points are reverted to zero. You can wager up to 25% of your current total Sploofus Points.
SPLOOFUS SHOWDOWN TOKENS
Each week, you will receive ONE Showdown Token. These tokens may be accumulated and redeemed at your leisure. Showdown Tokens allow
you (the challenger) to “challenge” the Sploofus player immediately AHEAD of you on the current all time leaderboard
(the challengee).
If you redeem a showdown token, a notice will instantly be sent to the challengee. You and the challengee will then be given a
random Sploofus question from the challengee’s current game play level. You will both be given the exact same question.
The challengee then has 7 days to respond to your challenge. If he/she does not, you win the showdown. Otherwise, the player who
answers the question correctly the fastest, wins.
If you (the challenger) wins, you are credited 10% of the challengee’s total Sploofus Points; the challengee however does not lose those points. Only the challenger
assumes risk with this system. If you (the challenger) loses,
the challengee claims 10% of your total Sploofus Points. In the event of a stalemate (both the challenger and the challengee answer
the question incorrectly) no action is taken.
THE SPLOOFUS LEADERBOARDS
As you continue to answer Sploofus trivia questions, you will gain points and begin to climb in rank. The top players are listed on the Sploofus leaderboard at Sploofus.Com. These leaderboards exhibit the finest players organized by monthly score, all-time points, speed, category and level.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
By logging in at http://www.sploofus.com/account.sp you can manage various aspects of your Sploofus account, as well as review your current score, rank, tokens and much more. Some of the functions available from the account manager include:
