The web site is slow or unresponsive

Due to the nature of the Internet, your web browser's connection to the Sploofus computers is passed through dozens of routers and switches that are beyond the control of you, your ISP, or Sploofus. This is true for any web site that you may connect to.

Either the Sploofus network is unresponsive or there is a connectivity issue between your computer and your ISP, or from your ISP to the Sploofus servers which are located in Miami, FL. Unfortunately, it is not possible to differentiate these scenarios in real time.

If the problem is persistent, then you may need to upgrade your Internet connection or web browser. The Sploofus web site utilizes advanced technologies on both the client (your web browser) and the server (the Sploofus computers). On the client side, these technologies include asynchronous JavaScript and XML processing. While time delays, also known as lag or network latency, are typically attributed to the network they can also be caused by client-side browser and resource issues.

To be sure that your computer is not the culprit, ensure that you are using the most recent version of your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari). Verify that your web browser has scripting/JavaScript fully enabled, and that it is accepting cookies from Sploofus.com.

For optimum performance and to properly enjoy all Sploofus features, the Firefox web browser is HIGHLY recommended. It is also to your advantage if your computer has at least 512MB of RAM, 800 MHz CPU, Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.3.5, and a broadband Internet connection.
